Dr. MacLeod is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and is a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) and then continued her studies at the University of Calgary where she completed a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology (School and Community Psychology). Dr. MacLeod brings over 25 years’ professional experience working with individuals across the lifespan. In her professional practice, Dr. MacLeod provides assessment, consultation, and counselling/therapy services for a broad range of issues including stress and anxiety-related issues, depression, grief and loss, pain management, relationship issues, family conflict, parenting strategies, attention-related difficulties (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning challenges and disorders, emotional/behavioural dysregulation, developmental difficulties, as well as career-related issues and other significant life transitions. Her therapeutic interventions include cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches. She enjoys working with clients to determine the most beneficial approach for their unique situations, giving consideration to their combination of strengths, supports, and needs. “Sometimes we are tested, not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths!”
